I’m always too hot or too cold these days. Always tired, or I can’t or won’t sleep. Never comfortable.

I’ve been home for less than 30 hours and I could already write a page about things my mom just doesn’t understand.

Girls, never underestimate the power of your own hands for your pelvic needs. Yes I am talking about heat for your cramps.

In primary school, whenever we had some free time, the girls woud always braid each other’s hair. But my mom had already braided mine every day, thus I was excluded from their grooming ritual, and that’s probably why I never had many friends.

REVIEW: CHOIES SHORT YELLOW PARKA

After seeing some reviews of Choies on YouTube, I casually checked out their web shop. As you do. The selection was nice, but the only thing that really caught my attention was this jacket. As these kinds of web shops often just resell made-in-China items, I actually did a quick google search, and found one other place that sold it, but it was out of stock and I can’t find it now so I guess it doesn’t matter. It was on sale at Choies anyway, so when I couldn’t get the yellow parka out of my mind I finally ordered it. And only that (I was already pushing the Norwegian customs). The shipping is free and said to take 15-30 days from it’s shipped out, which is perfecty reasonable. It took 5 days to hande, then 14 to get here, counting weekends. Good.

The parka is one size and meant to be slightly over-sized, and when I looked over the measurements it seemed to fit me nicely, but might be a ittle tight over the shoulders. I still took the chance. On Tuesday I planned to pick my jacket up from the local grocery store “post desk” on my way out, change into it at once, and be on my way. But when I opened it and couldn’t get it on at first, I didn’t want to get awkward in public and gave up. I was afraid the measurements had failed me and were worse than I thought.

Later I got to innspect my new jacket at home. The very first thing I noticed was a lot of loose threads. That doesn’t usually bother me as most things I buy are cheap anyway (ha). Next, it was a little greener than expected. It’s got a zipper on the collar as to hide a hood, a hood it doesn’t have. And those uniform button-things on the shoulders. I like them. The two breast pockets are actually kinda huge and reach all the way to the seams under the arms.

Details. The parka comes with a pin, and as you can see, I received not the one pictured in the stock photo, but the one pictured with the blue and the green colorway. Score!!!!!! It’s like they just knew that I hate moustaches! (I cosidered asking them if they could switch it for me.) Will probably add some pins and buttons of my own too.

I bet you want to know why I couldn’t get the jacket on though. Well it turns out that the lining was accidentally sown onto the tag in a really wonky way that made the back of the jacket seem really small, but after I cut that up I could actually try on the jacket for real. And it fit me just fine! It was not too tight over the shoulders, and the sleeves are a tiny bit short, but not too short. Rolling them up to make it all cute like the photo shortens them considerably though.  And by the way, looking at the pattern of the lining, it’s upside-down.

The parka has adjustable eastic at the waist, which is neat, but it seems the elastic is caught in a seam as well… (Can’t see that here.) So I gotta un-do that to get proper use of it.

Conclusion: Yes I do like the jacket, it’s got cute details, goes really well with the Submarine kinda feeling I’ve had lately (as in the movie). Will be a good spring jacket, when that time comes ahaha… Price and shipping was decent.
HOWEVER the color is kinda off from the stock photo and it arrived with some fuck-ups. Not really big fuck-ups but enough of them to make me wonder what the hell is going on. I see YouTubers like Beckii Cruel throw the words “really high quality”  around a lot, and the final rule in Choies’ Free Trial program (win a product to review/promote) reads:
"Reports of poor quality or any fake comments may result in no chance for further trials."
Punishment for being honest about quality……? Makes me wonder what the fuck Choies is all about, and seriously, that’s exactly why I wanted to do this review. (As I’m not sponsored in the first place.) This jacket is out of stock now though, so it probably doesn’t help any of you anyway.

I am fully aware that I might just have gotten the odd mishap, and that there are probably as many good things about Choies as everyone says, but fuck-ups happen, and please don’t lie about that.

This has been an honest and not sponsored review. Bye.
